AIMagn Colloquia

Through the initiative of the ‘AIMagn Colloquia’, AIMagn (Italian Magnetism Association) aims to promote the dialogue and exchange between international researchers in the field of Magnetism and the Italian community of Magnetism

Organization

The event will be structured as a mini-workshop: 

  • seminar by the guest;
  •  Brief talks (4-6) given by Italian researchers involved in the same or similar field.

The applicant will be the Chairman of the event. As promoter of the Colloquia, AIMagn will collaborate with the Chairman in defining the scientific program. AIMagn will give the sponsorship and the economic support (about 300-500 Euros).The Colloquium will be advertised through the AIMagn website and AIMagn distribution lists. Each speaker will receive an “Official Invitation Letter”. The participation is free of charge and AIMagn will release a “Certificate of Attendance” to each participant

Criteria  of selection

AIMagn is programming 2-3 Colloquia every year. The applications will be selected based on the following criteria

  • Scientific profile of the guest and scientific framework of her/his research topic.
  • The variety of research topics and geographic distribution of the events.. 
  • Date of request receipt. There are two deadlines every year for the applications: June 15 and December 15.The deadlines are not strict, but they represent a selection criterion, like the others aforementioned. For the ongoing year, the possible request for a Colloquium to be held before June 15 2019 can be sent in every moment

  • Name, Surname and affiliation of the proposer
  • Institution hosting the seminar and approximate date of the event
  • Name, Surname and affiliation of the international guest. Research topic and/or short CV. Title and topic of the seminar and/or short abstract.
