Trends in Magnetism 2022

The second edition of Trends in Magnetism (TMAG) conference was held in Venice from 4 to 9 September 2022. It was co-chaired by Stefano Bonetti, from the University of Venice Ca’ Foscari, and Vito Puliafito, from the Politecnico di Bari.

TMAG 2022 started on the evening of Sunday September 4th, with a Nobel Lecture given by Prof. Albert Fert. Technical program was developed from Monday September 5th in the morning and ended on Friday September 9th at lunch time. It included invited oral sessions, with ample time for discussion moderated by a leader in the field. Contributed participation was in the form of poster presentations with the invited speakers and discussion leaders actively participating to the poster sessions.

The conference was mainly organized by Petaspin and Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. It was sponsored also by the Italian Association of Magnetism (AIMagn), which supported the student best poster awards.

Awarded students were:

  • Irina Dolgikh, from Radboud University, The Netherlands (session I)
  • Thomas Blank, from Radboud University, The Netherlands (session II)
  • Simone Cuccurullo, from Politecnico di Milano, Italy (session III)
  • Rodrigo Martín-Hernández, from the University of Salamanca, Spain (session IV)

The next edition of TMAG was announced to be in Rome, in September 2023.
