Berlin (Germany) – July 8th-10th 2025
Dear colleagues,
The Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics organizes the
International Workshop on the Frontiers of Racetrack Memory that
will take place at the Harnack House in Berlin, Germany, on 8 – 10 July
2025.
Since its conceptualization, the scientific excitement for the Racetrack
Memory has promoted the discovery of highly interesting new physics, the
synthesis of novel materials and heterostructures, as well the
development of sophisticated device engineering for both 2D and 3D
spintronic applications.
This workshop will bring together international experts to discuss the
current status and future prospects of spintronic technologies based on
the manipulation of magnetic textures (e.g. domain walls, skyrmions).
Topics of interest include:
* Magnetic memories and logic devices
* Spin and Orbital torques
* Neuromorphic and unconventional computing
* 3D magnetic devices
* Non-collinear antiferromagnets
* Superconducting spintronics
We cordially invite you to participate in the workshop by submitting an
abstract before May 26th, 2025:
https://www.mpi-halle.mpg.de/racetrack-workshop/abstract-submission
Notification of acceptance will be sent by June 4th. No registration fee
is required.
The Harnack House [2], a conference venue of the Max Planck Society,
offers excellent facilities and is located in one of Berlin’s most
scenic and convenient neighborhoods: an ideal setting for stimulating
scientific exchange.
Please find the event pamphlet attached, and feel free to share this
information with colleagues and students that may be interested in
participating. Any questions regarding the workshop can be directed to
