Dear All,

we receive and forward the following announcement:

          ·         We are pleased to share with you the event organized by Prof. Giuseppe Maruccio, the upcoming EMFL User Meeting (https://indico.imapp.ru.nl/event/316/), which will be held in Lecce on June 17, 2025. The program also includes two additional days, June 16 and 18, dedicated to the Italian community coordinated by AIMagn.

One of the goals of the event is to start a concrete discussion on the possible establishment of a national Joint Research Unit, aimed at facilitating Italian participation in the EMFL European network. The discussion on this topic will take place on June 18, with the possibility of presenting the research infrastructures available at various institutions, which will also be useful for updating the national database.

There is also the opportunity to contribute to the June 16 session with scientific presentations and open discussions. Depending on the number of abstracts received, it will be decided whether to organize the event over two full days or to concentrate all activities into a single session.

       ·         The 7th Italian School on Magnetism (https://www.aimagn.org/school2025/) follows a series of highly successful biyearly schools promoted by the Italian Association on Magnetism (AIMagn) and started in Pavia in 2012 (following editions: Parma – 2014, Milano – 2016 Torino – 2018, Roma 2020 and Milano 2023).

This edition focuses on “Magnetic nanomaterials” and will take place in Perugia (Italy), on October 20th – 24th, 2025, Hotel Giò and is organized by the Nanomagnetism group, GHOST Laboratory (Dipartimento di Fisica e Geologia, University of Perugia and CNR Istituto Officina dei Materiali).

The School is addressed to Italian and foreign graduate and PhD students, as well as to post-doc and young researchers.

Following the tradition of the School, the 7th edition will provide training in the basic principles of magnetism and magnetics through a series of fundamental lectures. Emphasis will be also put on the latest insights into the development of magnetic nanomaterials and their applications, with lectures focusing on specific topics.
