The Italian Association of Magnetism sponsored the Early-Stage Researcher Award and two Best Poster Awards at the 4th edition of the international conference “Trends in Magnetism”, held in Bari, Italy, from 1st to 5th September 2025 (https://www.petaspin.com/tmag2025/ ).
The Scientific Committee of TMAG selected 4 finalists among the applications received:
- Akash Kumar, University of Gothenburg, Sweden
- Alaa Abdallah, Aoyama Gakuin University, Japan
- Sam Holt, MPI for Structure and Dynamics of Matter, Germany
- Andrea Meo, Politecnico di Bari, Italy

Those finalists were awarded a certificate and a 50€ prize, and had the opportunity to present their works in a dedicated session on Monday 1st in front of a committee composed of international experts. The committee evaluated the finalists based on interest in the topic, impact of the results, quality of the presentation, and ability of the speaker to address the questions, and selected the winner.
The winner of the Early-Stage Researcher Award was Sam Holt, who received a certificate and an additional 100€ prize.
